Accra Technical University (ATU) is set to host the maiden edition of the Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games.

The multi sport competition is due to run from Friday, February 1 to Sunday, February 10 in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Basketballghana.com gathers the ATU multipurpose court will host a chunk of competitions with the El Wak and Accra Sports Stadium hosting the track and field events.

The upcoming competition is the first to be held in the aftermath of the event’s name change from GHAPSA to GHATUSA.

Several major Polytechnics in the West African were converted to Technical Universities a few years back and the name is a reflection of the change.

Accra Technical has been the most dominant force in the competition especially in basketball as its Male side won the last competition held in 2017.

Athletes are in line to compete for medals in several disciplines including basketball, football, taekwondo, tennis and badminton.

ATU’s Male Basketball Team is set to compete in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship right after the GHATUSA Games.
