Ghana Forward Ernest Aflakpui was in sensational form on Saturday as he poured in 21 points to lead all players in scoring in Temple University’s loss.
The Owls lost 70-77 to Penn State University despite top production from its starting Forward from Ghana who registered another double double in the process.
Aside scoring 21 points, Aflakpui grabbed 15 rebounds and added an assist without committing any turnovers in 30 minutes of action.
The 6 foot 10 inch player was a terror on the boards as he grabbed eight rebounds on offense and nine rebounds on defense to lead the game in that category.
He was one of four Temple starters to score double digit points. Lead Guard Shizz Alston Jnr. scored 14 points and paced the Owls in assists with six.
The loss is Temple’s fourth of the season in 18 games this season in an improved campaign for Aflakpui’s side. This is Aflakpui’s final year.
Temple takes on Memphis University on Thursday, January 24 at its Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.
