Reigning and two time Sprite Ball Championship winners Kumasi Girls Senior High School continues to call for support to construct a new basketball court for the school.

The latest call came from the school’s former Physical Education Head Joyce Agyei during an interview on Kumasi-based Angel FM’s “DS Sports” program after winning the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.

Kumasi Girls won its second straight title recently at the El Wak Stadium in Accra after beating Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School 22-14 in the final.

Despite winning back to back Sprite Ball titles, Kumasi Girls continue to train with appalling facilities for various sports competitions chief among them, its basketball court which is in terrible shape.

Speaking in the latter part of the lengthy chat, Agyei stated, “We appeal to corporate bodies, old students and philanthropists to come to our aid because where we train is in a very poor state and an eye sore but we have produced these champions so we appeal to them for help”.

Kumasi Girls had Coach Zibo Brown and Center Abigail Gyamfi win the Best Coach and MVP Awards respectively.
