Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary (POJOSS) Basketball Coach Kofi Elias has expressed his disappointment in the aftermath of an unsuccessful campaign in the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.
POJOSS rolled into this year’s championship as two time bronze medal winners in the past three editions of Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament.
However, the team could only manage a 39-31 win over Prempeh College as it failed to progress from the preliminary stage.
In an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com, Coach Elias who oversaw his first coaching stint in the competition noted the big lessons he has learnt will come in handy going forward.
“It was an awesome learning experience even though Pojoss were eliminated in a painful manner which I still can’t get over. Nonetheless notes are well taken for our next chapter” he said.
Elias replaced James Okine as POJOSS Coach after the latter led Pope John to two brone medals in three years as lead trainer of the serial Eastern Regional Champions.
