Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School has made a big return to the Sprite Ball Championship Girls Division after a two year absence.
The school clinched a place in the final after beating St. Louis Senior High School 18-9 in the last semifinal game.
Prior to this year’s competition, Mfantsiman Girls had failed to qualify for the competition in two straight years to the frustration of the passionate group.

The Coach Ernest Koomson led side is set to play Kumasi Girls Senior High School for the chance to hoist its first ever trophy. Mfantsiman has won two bronze medals in past editions of Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament.
Kumasi Girls are defending champions and this year’s final game is the school’s third straight appearance. The school featured in the 2016 and 2018 finals coming up with the silver medal and gold medal respectively.
