Boahemaa drives against Shama

Kumasi Girls Senior High School has qualified to the final game of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship in the Girls Division.

This is the third straight finals appearance for the school after winning the title last year and clinching second place in the 2016 edition.

Kumasi Girls topped Shama Senior High School 37-18 in the first semifinal game in the division meaning the school is another win away from clinching back to back titles.

Should Kumasi Girls manage to win the final game, it will be the first time since 2015 the defending champion successfully defends its title.

Fellow Kumasi rival T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School was the last to do so in 2015 after winning the Championship in 2014.

Remnants of last year’s title winning team Hannah Boahemaa and Center Abigail Agyapomaaah dominated the overwhelmed Western Region representative.

St. Louis Senior High School plays Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School in the last semifinal for a spot in the final. Both schools have not featured in the finals before.
