Rite Sports CEO Yaw Sakyi Afari speaks to students at the camp

The 2019 Sprite Ball Championship commences on Friday, January 11 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra and ahead of the big day tomorrow, a minicamp was organized for participating schools.

The short session took place earlier today at the University of Ghana’s Hilla Limann Hall basketball court with all schools participating after arriving safely from various spots in the West African nation.

Celebrated DC Dynamics Coach Feranmi Olulonyo headed the session which consisted of a few drills, a short cardio workout and a brief seminar where players were briefed on responsibilities and rules of the competition.

Ghana Education Service National Physical Education Coordinator Emmanuel Dormenyah graced the occasion along with coordinators from various regions.

Coaches then had a sit down meeting with the National PE Head immediately after the camp touching on issues related to the tournament especially player eligibility.

The2018 edition was rocked by several instances of teams fielding ineligible players and major steps have been taken to prevent the incident from repeating in this weekend’s tournament.
