Mfantsiman (purple) v WASS

OWASS topped ADISCO (white).
Opoku Ware School (OWASS) has scored a revenge win over Adisadel College in the Male Division of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.

OWASS beat Adisadel 44-36 in Group C at the El Wak Stadium in Accra a year after losing 14-15 to the Central region based school.

Last year’s loss was one of two OWASS suffered in a disappointing campaign for the then defending champions. OWASS exited at the 2018 Group stage.

Point Guard Nicholas Essien lived up to the pretournament hype surrounding him with a dazzling display while setting up teammates for easy baskets.

Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School marked its return to the highly rated competition with an impressive 16-9 win over West Africa Senior High School in the second Group A matchup today.

Mfantsiman had missed out on the past two editions of the competition but made a winning return with the hard fought win over the Adenta based side.

Coach Ernest Koomson’s side takes on defending champions Kumasi Girls Senior High.
