KSTS Coach Eric Larbi (left) receives itemsA section of former Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) students have made a sizable donation to the school’s basketball team ahead of this year’s Sprite Ball Championship.
The 2019 Sprite Ball Championship commences on Friday, January 11 and ends a day later at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with 20 schools due to compete.
The kind gesture from the school’s alumni was shown to the team earlier today at the University of Ghana’s Hilla Limann Hall where participating schools are camped for the tournament.
Items presented to Coach Eric Larbi on behalf of the playing unit included six boxes of Everpure bottled water, packs of Beta Malt Drink, fruits, groceries and an undisclosed amount of cash.
This falls in line with similar kind acts by alumni of Mfantsipim School, Pope John Senior High School, St. John’s School and Bishop Herman College.
KSTS has never won the coveted Sprite Ball Championship but has a silver medal and three bronze medals to show for its consistent presence in the competition’s 13 year history.
