Adisadel College-ADISCO- has kept its hopes of making it to the quarterfinals of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship by securing a must needed win in its second game in the competition.
ADISCO beat Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) 36-18 in Adisadel’s second game in Group B of this year’s Championship.
The win gives the Cape Coast based school a win and a loss in two matchups at the group stage; Adisadel lost 36-44 to December 2016 Champions Opoku Ware School.
In a shocking twist of fate, Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary (POJOSS) looked set for its second straight win and a place in the quarterfinals.
However, last year’s bronze medal winning team got stunned 21-33 by West African Senior High School’s (WASS) Male Basketball team.
WASS run away with the win on the back of dominating POJOSS inside the paint and threw a couple of highlight dunks.
A win over Opoku Ware School qualifies WASS to the quarterfinals for the first time ever.
