Participating teams in the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship are expected to arrive in Ghana’s capital Accra ahead of the commencement of this year’s Sprite Ball Championship.

The 2019 edition runs from Friday January 11 to Saturday January 12 at the El Wak Stadium with 12 schools in the Boys Division and eight schools in the Girls Division competing.

All schools will be camped at the Hilla Limann Hall at the University of Ghana during the tournament Basketballghana.com can confirm.

A specially arranged clinic will take place later on Thursday to acquaint players and instructors with rules and the tournament’s schedule.

The upcoming competition is the 13th edition of Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament with Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu-PRESEC) as defending Boys Division Champions.

Kumasi Girls are defending champions in the Girls Division and like Osu-PRESEC, last year’s title win is the first for both schools.

Mfantsipim School has the most trophies in the competition’s history with four titles in the Boys Division.
