Ghana Center Amida Brimah recorded another double double mark this season in Austin Spurs latest loss. The team lost 92-104 to Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA Gatorade League.
6 foot 11 inch defender Brimah recorded 12 points and 13 rebounds in the loss adding three blocks, a steal and an assist in 19 minutes off the bench.
The former University of Connecticut Captain scored four of six attempts from the field but squandered a lot of opportunities from the free throw line to increase his tally.
Amida scored just four of 11 attempts in the game from charity stripe; a better shooting performance would have improved his offensive numbers.
The Ghanaian shot blocker had the most blocks in the game with three tied with OKC Blue’s Chris Wright. Brimah led the G League in blocked shots last season.
San Antonio Spurs first year players assigned to the team Chimedzie Metu and Lonnie Walker scored 13 and four points respectively.
Teammate and starting Center Drew Eubanks led players in scoring with 26 points.
