Former Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary (POJOSS) Basketball Coach James Okine has made his predictions for this year’s Sprite Ball Championship official.

The 2019 Sprite Ball Championship runs from January 11-12 at El Wak Stadium in Accra with 12 schools competing in the Boys Division.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com exclusively after this week’s competition draw was completed, the two time bronze medal winning head trainer was adamant POJOSS will get over the hump this time around.

“I will choose between Mfantsipim School and POJOSS to make the finals which I know very well that POJOSS will beat them for the first time. St. John’s School and Prempeh College will compete in the 3rd and 4th place. No matter how it goes, POJOSS will win this year and a new record will be recorded by beating Mfantsipim” he said.

After leading the Koforidua-based school to two third place finishes in three editions, Okine walked away from his post after the 2018 edition.

Kofi Elias has replaced him and led the team to another Eastern regional title.
