Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary (POJOSS) Basketball Coach Kofi Elias has opined caution with Prempeh College ahead of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.

He made the statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com ahead of this year’s tournament which runs from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

POJOSS and Prempeh have been drawn in Group B with West Africa Senior High School (WASS); two schools will progress to the next stage of the competition.

Prior to the game’s commencement, the first year trainer who replaced celebrated Coach James Okine after the 2018 edition recognized Prempeh’s high profile in the competition.

“I believe Prempeh has enough history in Sprite ball to keep us on our toes but we are well prepared for them” Elias said.

Prempeh placed second in the December 2010 edition of Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament and featured at the quarterfinal stage last year.

POJOSS has won two bronze medals in the past three editions of Sprite Ball.
