Temple University Ghanaian Forward/Center Ernest Aflakpui has recorded a season high in steals in the Owls latest game in the NCAA.
Aflakpui recorded four steals in Temple University’s 73-78 loss to University of Central Florida a few hours ago at the CFE Arena in Orlando, Florida.
The burly 6 foot 10 inch player had two points, a block and four rebounds in 32 minutes as a starter. Aflakpui attempted just three shots and scored one in the game.
His game leading steals numbers were matched by teammate Quinton Rose who scored 17 points and registered four assists.
The loss is Temple’s third of the season in 13 games while the Florida Knights record improves to 11 wins in 13 games.
Central Florida’s 7 foot 6 inch Senegalese Center recorded a 16 point, 11 rebound double double with a game leading three blocks.
Temple and Aflakpui return to the hardwood on Sunday, January 6 against Wichita State University. Aflakpui is in his final year at Temple and is averaging 5.8 points and 7.1 rebounds.
