The year 2018 is almost over and Basketballghana.com looks takes a look at the some of the high points in the basketball calendar.
Adabraka CYO flat out dominated the shorter than expected 2018-2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II campaign.
The team scored 18 points in the aftermath of winning all nine games played and ending its final game with a 91-50 win over Junior Reformers.
CYO beat out the likes of veteran side Panthers to the league summit as Panthers ended the season with 15 points from winning six of nine games.
By topping the league standings, CYO has qualified to play in next season’s Division I joining former Division II rival Adenta Leopards.
Despite the short schedule, the division was filled with very exciting games including the season opener between Dunk Knights and Panthers. Dunk won 60-59.
However, Teshie Rangers provided a low point by pulling out of the competition after three weeks. The team cited financial and personnel challenges.
