The year 2018 is almost over and Basketballghana.com looks takes a look at the some of the high points in the basketball calendar.

2018 will go down as arguably the best in the history of Ghana Police Service Female Basketball Team after a dominant run.

The team won the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division without dropping a game ahead of perennial winners Braves of Customs.

Police beat Braves twice in the league en route to clinching the league ahead of the likes of Galaxy, Reformers and Ghana Fire Service.

The all conquering side added the CAP 7 Tournament to the league title again beating Braves to the title held in honour of former ABL Chairman Benjamin Baafi.

Thanks to a brilliant year, three members of the team represented Ghana at the FIBA 3X3 Zone Three and African Championship.

Georgina Ntow, Balkisu Saleem and Zeinab Mohammed played in the regional tournament in Cotonou, Benin and continental competition in Lome, Togo.

Ntow was named Most Valuable Player at the CAP 7 Tournament.
