He made the statement in an interview during the Ashanti Regional leg of this year’s Sprite Ball Trophy Tour. The next Sprite Ball Championship runs from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
Opoku Ware won the December 2016 edition but performed poorly at the next edition exiting at the group stage with a win in three games.
However, Charles Darkwah strongly believes his team’s preparations put the school in good shape to annex its second national title.
“This year around, we’ve prepared so much and I believe that with the kind of preparation that we have put in place, I believe next year we shall surely win the trophy and bring the trophy back to Opoku Ware School” Darkwah said.
Opoku Ware tagged Prempeh College as “Sofoline Mates” in response to Prempeh tagging Opoku Ware as “Santase Cowboys”.
