Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has registered his second double double production of the season for Peristeri GS over the weekend.
Bentil scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Persiteri’s 69-92 loss to Olympiakos in the Greece A1 Basketball League.
The former Boston Celtics draftee has been in superb form recently following up on his 13 point, 10 rebound production in a 74-71 win over Pananios in the previous round.
Bentil’s point tally led all players in the game in 26 minutes of work off the bench in his season with Peristeri after signing for the side ahead of the season.
This is Bentil’s second straight double double in Greece highlighting his role as a key man off the bench for the Athens based club.
The loss is Persiteri’s second this season in ten games on its return to the elite division and keeps the side in third place.
Panathinaikos leads the standings with nine wins in nine games while Olympiacos stay in second place. Olympiacos is coached by former Cleveland Cavaliers Coach David Blatt.
Prior to Round 10, Panathinaikos appointed former University of Kentucky Coach Rick Pitino.
