Reigning Sprite Ball Champions Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu) is set to have an entirely new look for the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship.
The 2018 Champions will be without a host of players from the winning team in the 2019 edition set for January 11 and January 12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
Standout Guards Prince Lumorvi and Joel Kaboayere-who was named Most Valuable Player in the 2018 competition- lead the list.
As many as seven players including all members of the starting unit will miss out in January 2019’s tournament for the title defence.
However, expectations have been largely muted considering Osu-PRESEC qualified to the 2019 Sprite Ball by virtue of being reigning champions. The team crashed out at the semifinal stage in the Greater Accra Regional qualifiers.
Osu-PRESEC and West Africa Senior High School will represent the region in January in the Boys Division. PRESEC beat Mfantsipim School 25-22 to win this year’s title in stunning fashion. The trophy is Osu-PRESEC’s first.
