Later today, Ghana Forward Ben Bentil will be in action for Persiteri GS in a crunch tie against Olympiakos in the Greece A1 Basketball League.

Bentil is coming off a 13 point, 10 rebound double double in Peristeri’s 74-71 win over Pananios in Week 9. This is his first double double production since joining Peristeri in September.

In tonight’s game, Bentil will come face to face with Olympiakos and former Cleveland Cavaliers Coach David Blatt who like Bentil, moved to Greece ahead of this season.

Under Blatt, Olympiakos have won eight games in nine games and lie second in the standings behind arch rival Panathinaikos who are yet to lose a game this season.

Blatt coached Cleveland Cavaliers for a year and a half before being replaced by Tyronne Lue midway through the 2015-2016 season and led Cavs to its first ever NBA title.

Blatt has an extensive European coaching background with stints in Russia and Turkey before moving to Greece. Bentil played in the NBA briefly with Dallas Mavericks.
