The 2019 Sprite Ball Trophy Tour stop in the Ashanti Region has concluded with aplomb as the entourage visited all four qualified schools for next year’s Sprite Ball Championship.

Next year’s edition of Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball tournament takes place from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

The Ashanti Region will be represented in the competition by four schools with two schools in the Boys Division and two schools in the Girls Division.

Former national champions Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College are representatives in the Boys Division in January.

In the Girls Division, reigning national champions Kumasi Girls Senior High School and St. Louis Senior High School are representing the region.

The tour contingent was met with large fanfare in the maiden stop in the region punctuated by the visit to St. Louis who qualified to the main competition for the first time since 2011.

Other prominent members of the various schools pledged support for their respective schools and the entire competition.
