The Sprite Ball Trophy will be in the Ashanti Region’s capital, Kumasi later today as the entourage makes it latest stop on the tour. This is the region’s first Trophy Tour.
The region’s representatives will host the contingent as activities continue to increase ahead of the January 11, 2019 start date.
Next year’s competition runs from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with 12 schools set to play in the Boys Division and eight schools set to play in the Girls Division.
Ashanti Region has two representatives in each division including reigning National Champions Kumasi Girls Senior High School.
December 2016 National Champions Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College are representing the region in the Boys Division.
Kumasi Girls and St. Louis Senior High School are representing the region in the Girls Division with St. Louis qualifying to the national competition for the first time since 2011.
The Trophy Tour has made stops at qualified schools in the Western Region and Greater Accra Region including reigning Boys Division Champions Osu-PRESEC.
