Sekondi College (SEKCO) has qualified to participate in the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship in the Boys Division from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
The Spartans qualified from the Western Region alongside St. John’s School to the national competition set to have 12 schools participating in the Division.
This is set to be SEKCO’s maiden appearance in the competition after several fruitless attempts over the years and the coed school is in ebullient mood.
Ahead of the Championship, the school’s Male Basketball Team has rolled out its photo album with all 12 players donning the all blue with white stripes kit.
This is a fresh look for the team that beat out competition from former national bronze medal winners Ghana Senior High Technical School (GSTS) to make the cut at the national stage.
Earlier in the past week, SEKCO hosted the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour contingent on its grounds during the Western Region leg of the tour.
Sprite Ball is Ghana’s biggest High School basketball competition and Shama Senior High School will represent the Western Region in the Girls Division.
