West Africa Senior High School (WASS) Headmaster Ofori Antwi has stated the school’s basketball teams aims to win big at the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.
The school is the only institution representing at next year’s tournament in the Boys Division and Girls Division representing Greater Accra Region.
Next year’s Sprite Ball Championship will be held at the El Wak Stadium in Accra from January 11-12 with 12 Schools in the Boys Division and eight schools in the Girls Division participating.
WASS is the only school in the upcoming Championship to achieve this rare feat; Aggrey Memorial Zion did same in the December 2016 edition.
Speaking to Baskteballghana.com when the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour visited the school recently, Headmaster Antwi stated:
“I just want to sound this caution to…the other schools that are eyeing the ultimate that this year the Sprite Ball Championship for both Boys and Girls is coming to WASS”.
WASS, Accra Wesley Girls High School and National defending Champions Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu) are representing Greater Accra Region in January.
