Tudu Galaxy has ended its run in the first round of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II with a hard fought 61-53 win over Panthers who had just five players available.
The game featuring the second and third best teams in the league was played earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Galaxy led 12-11 at the end of the first quarter. Mohammed Briamah banked in a jumper to give Galaxy a 17-15 in the second quarter.
Panthers Forward Feranmi Olulonyo tied the score. Galaxy Guard Raymond Affram piled on the points for Tudu to lead 24-23 at the end of the first half.
Olulonyo pulled off a beautiful behind the move to beat his man on a coast to coast drive. Panthers Guard Rafiq Mohammed delivered a finger roll layup to reduce his side’s deficit to six 31-37 with little over three minutes left to play in the third quarter. Affram scored twice from the free throw line to give Galaxy a 45-42 lead.
Feranmi ended Panthers scoring drought with a layup to make score Galaxy 55-43 Panthers but Galaxy got enough baskets down the stretch to win 61-53.
