Adabraka CYO is officially a member of the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I campaign after sealing qualification from Division II.
The team’s participation in the elite division upcoming edition was confirmed earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
CYO clinched a 91-50 win over Junior Reformers to end the season unbeaten in nine games in the shortened league campaign.
CYO has ended the campaign in first place with 18 maximum points and ahead of Panthers who rank second with 15 points.
On the other hand, Junior Reformers lost its sixth game of the season to end its campaign with three wins in nine games.
Junior Reformers started well in the game jumping to a 6-2 lead but Reformers scored on back to back possessions to tie the game at 8. CYO ended the quarter strongly to lead 23-17
CYO led 39-28 at the end of the first half. Reformers committed a host of turnovers in the opening minutes but found its groove late on with Samuel Odamtten igniting a six point run with a layup.
Reformers trailed 35-63 heading to the final quarter and CYO piled on points in the fourth quarter to end with the 41 point win.
