Ghana Center Amida Brimah is in line to move to the summit of the NBA Gatorade League Blocks category chart from second place.

Brimah trails Raptors 905 Forward Chris Boucher in the chart with the Canadian averaging 4.8 rejections per game this season.

However, Boucher has been called up to 905’s main team Toronto Raptors in the NBA as a replacement for injured Center Jonas Valanciunas.

Valanciunas fractured his right thumb in Raptors 113-93 win over Golden State Warriors recently. He is expected to be out for a month.

Brimah is averaging 3.4 blocks per game this season after leading the same category in last season’s Gatorade League title winning campaign with Austin Spurs.

The former University of Connecticut Captain returned to Spurs and with the likely absence of Boucher for an extended time, the 6 foot 11 inch Center is in the running for another category win.

Amida registered three blocks, 12 points and eight rebounds in Austin Spurs 110-137 loss to rival Texas Legends.
