The Tema Community Basketball League continues to get better according to League Representative Kenneth Caesar in response to a question on the competition’s outlook.
He made the statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com after the 2018 season concluded recently with Nungua Coldstore winning the title for the second time.
Coldstore topped Tema Heat 53-49 to win Game 3 in an entertaining Finals Series witnessed by large enthusiastic crowds. Francophone Stars placed third.
After witnessing the brilliant finals, Caesar was adamant better prospects are in store for the league stating:
“Well it promises to get better. We are still hoping that the level of competition continues to rise we are not looking for Coldstore to dominate like they did this season. We are looking for teams to step up, change the dynamics of the game and the season”.
Ten teams competed in the just ended regular season with eight making it to the postseason. The All Star Game rolls out later this month.
