Ghana Center Ernest Aflakpui played in Temple University’s 65-63 win over University of Massachusetts in the USA’s National Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Division I.
Aflakpui started the game and scored four points while registering eight rebounds and an assist in 20 minutes of action.
Despite failing to get double figures in rebounds, the 6 foot 10 inch Aflakpui led all players in the low scoring game which pushed Temple’s wins for the season to eight in ten games this season.
Aflakpui produced a balanced game on the borads as he gathered four rebounds on the offensive side and four on the defensive side.
His shooting was a bit off as he scored on only two of six attempts from the field and missed his only attempt from the free throw line.
Guards Alston Shizz Jnr. and Quinton Rose led the way in scoring with 31 and 14 points respectively. They were the only Temple players to score in double digits.
The Owls play Davidson University next on Saturday, December 15.
