Schools representing Ghana’s Greater Accra Region in the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship have been confirmed in the Boys and Girls Divisions respectively.
West Africa Senior High School and Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu) have qualified from the Boys Division.
Accra Wesley Girls High School and West Africa Senior High School have qualified from the Girls Division to represent the region.
The quartet qualified from divisional games played over the weekend at PRESEC-Legon to determine reps for the region in Ghana’s biggest high school competition.
WASS beat host PRESEC-Legon 15-5 in the Boys Final and WASS topped Accra Wesley Girls High School 16-5 in the Girls Final.
Despite failing to make the finals, PRESEC-Osu joins WASS as reps in the Boys Division by virtue of winning the 2018 national edition.
Osu-PRESEC won this year’s Sprite Ball in January courtesy a 25-22 win over four time national champions Mfantsipim School.
WASS played in the 2018 edition in the Girls Division but missed out in the Boys Division.
