Nungua Coldstore fought gallantly to tie the 2018 Tema Community Basketball League Finals Series with a dominant display to beat Tema Heat 86-56.

The win extended Coldstore’s season after falling 58-63 to Heat in Game One and keeps the team’s hope of winning a second league title alive.

However, heading to Game 3 on Sunday, December 9 at the Tema Community 4 Court, Coldstore Forward Kwame Boamah Djan is yet to come to the party.

The 2016 Most Valuable Player Award winner and reigning Defensive Player Award winner’s play has been subdued in these finals.

As one of the most experienced players on the talent laden team and a two time Award winner and 2016 League Champion, Djan was expected to be a central figure in these finals.

While he has been solid on defense dropping a few eye catching blocks, it has not been on the dominant level in past seasons from the former St. Augustine’s College player.

Djan has also been culpable of missing several shots at the rim in the series thus far.
