Ayensu
Adisadel (white) v Mfantsipim

Central Region Physical Education Coordinator Seth Ayensu has cautioned representatives from competing regions to be wary of his outfit’s abilities.

He indicated this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of the region’s qualifiers for next Sprite Ball Championship.

The just regional competition had Mfantsipim School and Adisadel College qualify from the Boys Division while Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School qualified from the Girls Division.

The trio will represent the Central Region at the Sprite Ball Championship to be played at the El Wak Stadium in Accra from January 11-12, 2019.

After witnessing proceedings that had record national championship winners Wesley Girls High School miss out on qualifying to the national games to Mfantsiman, Ayensu was upbeat about the region’s representatives chances of making inroads in Accra.

“They should get ready. Central (Region) is coming this time on a higher note” he said in his chat with Ghana’s leading hoops portal.

Despite housing the most Sprite Ball titles, Central Region missed out on a title in both Girls and Boys Divisions in the January, 2018 edition.
