There will be two representatives from the Greater Accra Region in the Boys Division of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship rather than three.
Qualifiers in the region commence on Thursday, December 6 and ends on Saturday, December 8 at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon).
However, unlike the last edition played out earlier this year, Ghana’s capital region has two slots available in the male division with two slots available in the female division.
The change is reflective of sweeping changes ahead of the next Sprite Ball to be played from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium.
Greater Accra Region had three representatives at the last Sprite Ball; PRESEC-Osu, St. Aquinas Senior High School and Sacred Heart Senior High Technical School represented the region at the national games in January. PRESEC-Legon was voted into the competition.
The aforementioned schools and the likes of West African Senior High School, Tema Senior High School and Chemu Senior High School are set to battle for places at the 2019 Sprite Ball.
Osu-PRESEC won the 2018 Sprite Ball after beating Mfantsipim School 25-22 in the final game.
