The official dates for the much awaited 2019 Sprite Ball Championship have been released Basketballghana.com can confirm.

January 11-12 has been confirmed as the dates to honour games in the upcoming edition of Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball Tournament.

The competition will be staged at the El Wak Stadium in the West African nation’s capital, Accra and have 20 schools participating.

12 teams will feature in the Boys Division while eight teams will participate in the Girls Division for the ultimate trophy in either division.

The upcoming competition is the 12th edition and qualifiers to determine regional representatives are almost done with the last frontier- Greater Accra Region- set to host qualifying games later this week.

Reports indicate the regional games will be played from Thursday December 6-Saturday, December 8 at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon).

Representatives have been confirmed in the Western, Central, Eastern, Ashanti and Volta Regions respectively in both divisions.

PRESEC-Osu and Kumasi Girls Senior High School are defending Sprite Ball champions in the Boys and Girls Divisions respectively.
