Adabraka CYO has ended the five game winning run of Panthers in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II after clinching a 73-60 win.
The game which took place at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu opened Week 7 games and was the biggest of the round involving the first and second placed teams in the league standings.
Following a shock 59-60 loss to Dunk Knights in Week 1, Panthers reeled off five straight wins in the subsequent rounds to move to second place behind CYO.
However, the run has come to an end leaving CYO as the only unbeaten side in the division and bumps the team’s point tally to 14.
The second game of the night and round, involved Junior Reformers and Novas Academy with both teams in the lower half of the standings.
Despite rolling to the contest with a big win in Week 6, Reformers were shocked as Novas produced a 63-54 win to bounce back from a 52-70 loss in the previous round.
