Day Two of the Eastern Regional qualifiers for the next Sprite Ball Championship is playing out at the Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary in Koforidua.
The games commenced on Thursday, November 29 and are on track to end on Saturday, December 1 with three qualifying places in Ghana’s biggest High School basketball competition up for grabs.
The Boys Division has two qualifiers spots available while a sole spot is at stake in the Girls Division to the national games next year.
Regional heavyweight Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) has qualified to the semifinals as at the time of publication and is a step closer to the final game which guarantees a place in Sprite Ball.
KSTS beat Suhum Senior High Technical School (SUTESCO) 20-7 in the quarterfinals while bitter rival and host Pope John leads St. Paul’s Technical School 11-10 in the first quarter of the second semifinal at the time of publication.
Earlier in the day, Nifa Senior High School beat St. Francis 14-9 as teams jostle for places in the latter stages.
