The top four ranked teams in the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League season remains unchanged heading to Round this weekend in Sunyani.
Following the conclusion of Week 5 games where all four teams won, positions stayed same ahead of Saturday, December 1 games at the Eusbett and Sunyani Technical University (STU) Courts.
Defending league champions Suncity Braves lead the standings with 10 points from winning all five games including a 71-41 win over LIR Royals in its last game.
League debutants Spartans and Young Boys follow in second and third place respectively with nine and eight points after five games.
While STU rounds up the top quartet in fourth place with eight points but an inferior goal difference compared to Young Boys’.
STU has played a game fewer than the teams ranked above since its game against LIR Royals was postponed and yet to be fixed with a new date. STU beat Techiman Merchants 51-39.
Bottom side Barracks Scorpions didn’t cover themselves in glory after forfeiting its game against Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints. Below is the table:
