Ghana Center/Power Forward Nathan Mensah has brushed aside issues regarding his health status ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 American College Basketball Season.
In a post game interview, the defender was emphatic about his feelings on the subject of his health after recovering from a blood clot issues in his lungs two seasons ago that cut short his campaign after just 13 games.
He recovered to play 27 games averaging 8.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 21.4 minutes in his third year with The Aztecs. San Diego State University played in the National Tournament but lost to Syracuse University in the first round.
After producing 14 points, 11 rebounds and two steals in 15 minutes in San Diego’s 65-44 win over St.Katherine University in an exhibition, Mensah talked about his mindset for the upcoming season.
“Just to be more aggressive offensively, because each day we come to practice we all try to build a reputation for our coaches. So this offseason, I was just working on my offensive game” and addressed a question on his health stating, “I’ve said in previous meetings, I don’t talk about that stuff, because it’s in the past. I look to the future.”
