Three players from Ghana played in last night’s games in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in America.
Ernest Aflakpui, Joel Mensah and Nathan Mensah competed for their respective colleges and ended up on the winning side.
Aflakpui featured prominently in Temple University’s close 79-77 win over University of Missouri which is Temple’s sixth win in seven games this season.
The Power Forward/Center who is in his final year with the Owls scored eight points, had two assists and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win.
His rebounding tally led all players in the contest and was also a career high for Aflakpui has battled knee injuries in the past.
Nathan Mensah and Joel Mensah played in San Diego State University’s 87-44 win over Jackson State University which turned out to be San Diego’s fourth win in six games.
Both players are backup Forwards in their first year who can play the Center position. Nathan recorded 11 rebounds and five points in 14 minutes.
Joel Mensah played six minutes in the win while gathering three rebounds and adding two points.
