Ghana Center/Power Forward Ernest Aflakpui played well for Temple University as the Owls clinched a hard fought 79-77 win over University of Missouri.

Aflakpui delivered 12 rebounds, eight points and two assists in 25 minutes in the game as a starter; he was one of two starters not to score in double digits.

His rebound tally led all players in the game and was crucial for Temple to score its sixth win of the season in seven games. This is Aflakpui’s second double digit rebound tally in five games.

Thanks to his latest efforts, Aflakpui is averaging 7.9 rebounds and 6.3 points per game for the 2018-2019 season which is his final year in College.

Missouri’s Mark Smith scored a game high 19 points and Temple Point Guard Quinton Rose scored 18 points and added three assists and a rebound.

Temple next plays St. Joseph’s University on Saturday, December 1 with St. Joseph’s having three wins in six games this season.

St. Joseph’s take on University of Illinois on Thursday before the weekend game.
