David Ziem of Young Boys has been named Player of the Week in the GSP Basketball League after an outstanding performance for his side.
The Award was conferred on him by management following the conclusion of Week 5 of the 2018-2019 league campaign which ended over this past weekend.
Five games marked the completed round with the games taking place at the Sunyani Technical University (STU) and Eusbett Courts.
Ziem recorded a double double in Young Boys 63-29 win over Desert Rabbits in the opening game of Week 5. The win keeps Young Boys in third place.
The young player registered a healthy stat line of 16 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in Young Boys fourth win of the season.
Ziem was also the headline act in Young Boys massive 72-27 win over Barracks Scorpions in Week 4 by putting up another double double. He scored 17 points, 20 rebounds and four assists.
Thanks to Ziem, Fiifi Brew and Andy Quansah, the league debutants have made a very good start to life in the league winning four of five games.
