Austin Spurs have moved to sixth in the Western Conference standings of the NBA Gatorade League Western Conference Standings. Ghana Center Amida Brimah plays for the team.
The uptick in position comes on the back of Spurs clinching its fifth win of the season thanks to a 109-105 win over Maine Red Claws.
Clinching the five point win gives Spurs five wins and four losses this season after losing twice in three games to begin the campaign.
Second year Pro Brimah recorded a 12 point, 12 rebound double double in Spurs win over Red Claws while adding five blocks.
His block tally led all players in the game; Brimah is third in the league in blocked shots with 3.2 rejections per game.
The former University of Connecticut Captain led the league in blocks last season which his first run with Spurs after graduating from Connecticut.
An uptick in production on offense is giving Brimah a new lease of life at Spurs as he moved from the bench to the starting unit against Red Claws.
Spurs play Agua Caliente Clippers on November 30. Santa Cruz Warriors lead the Conference with eight wins in nine games.
