Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I League Champions Braves of Customs are in Nigeria to participate in the Zone 3 Club Championship Basketballghnaa.com can confirm.

The team is set to feature in the competition aiming to clinch a spot in the next FIBA Afro League hitherto known as the African Champions Cup.

The tournament in Nigeria is due to run from November 26 to December 2 with the top performing teams qualifying to the continental competition next year.

The newly revamped competition commences in January next year with an increased roster of 16 four more than in previous years.

Ghana’s representative will be vying for a qualifying spot with heavyweights from the sub region including powerhouse Kano Pillars.

Braves missed out on a place in the last African tournament after placing third fourth behind Pillars and Gombe Bulls. Braves return to the competition after topping Ghana’s elite division once more earlier this year.
