Week 4’s star attraction in the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League in Sunyani, Young Boys, have clinched another big win in the just ended Week 5.
The league debutant beat one of last season’s bright spots and veteran side Desert Rabbits 63-29 in the opening game of the round.
2016-2017 Season Most Valuable Player Robert Fiifi Brew registered 18 points, five assists, three steals and a rebound in the win.
That preceded West Siders 45-49 loss to Spartans in the final game played at the Sunyani Technical University (STU) Court.
Despite the loss and falling to its fourth loss in five games, West Siders’ Peter Boadi scored 30 points in the game to lead all players in scoring.
STU continued its fine form this season beating Techiman Merchants 51-39 to record its fourth win in four games. Merchants have a win in five games in its first season in the eague.
Defending champions Suncity Braves stayed hot aw well beating LIR Royals 71-41 but the round had a sour note whene Barracks Scorpions failed to show up for its game against Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints.
