The opening game of the 2018 Tema Community Basketball League Finals comes off later today at the Tema Community Basketball League.
The big game featuring Nungua Coldstore and Tema Heat is a highly anticipated matchup given the tough talk coming from both camps.
This year’s finals series was scheduled to commence a week ago but management decided to postpone it a week later to get all things set up right for the finals.
The game tips off at 18:00 GMT immediately after Francophone Stars play Tema Community 2 to decide winner of the bronze medal.
Ahead of the big game, Coldstore Forward Kwame Boamah Djan stated he will score a “25 point, 20 rebound double double” in Game One.
Heat Point Guard Andrews Ayienab butted away the remark in response by reaffirming his belief in his team’s ability to win the series.
This is Heat’s first Finals appearance while Coldstore is due to play in its second league final after beating Ashaiman Lions to clinch the 2016 title.
