Panthers stay in second place behind Accra Basketball League (ABL) Division II leaders Adabraka CYO after clinching its fourths straight win.
The win came via a 70-52 win over Novas Academy earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu; the loss is the fourth for Novas this season.
Dunk scored 12 points to trail 59-50 with 6:25 left to play but couldn’t sustain the run as Reformers battled back to clinch a 63-56 win.
Point Guard Rafiq Arthur scored a three point shot to open the game’s scoring with 6:23 on the clock. Both teams were at fault for poor finishing at the rim prior to the shot.
Panthers Center Paul Eta added a contested layup shot before Novas got on the board. Kwame Attafuah and Eric Adorku scored for Panthers to hold on to an 11-10 first quarter lead in the face of strong shooting late on from Novas.
Panthers led 31-25 at half time. Teams traded baskets early on in the third quarter but Panthers pulled away scoring points in the paint and the free throw line.
Guard Kwame Attafuah produced the highlight move of the game by scoring an up and under layup on a fast break. Panthers held a 50-38 lead heading to the final quarter Panthers won 70-52.
