Tudu Galaxy has its fourth win in a row in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II but it came on a controversial note.
Galaxy was clearly heading for a win against Swanlakers with Galaxy leading 91-58 in the final minutes of the game before Swanlakers abandoned the game.
The matchup which was played out earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu took an uninspiring turn when two Swanlakers players fouled out leaving four players available to see out the remaining minutes given just six players were available for selection.
After getting hit with technical fouls, the team decided to walk off the court and abandoned the game altogether with 3:57 left to play.
Galaxy stormed to a 13-2 lead with Point Guard Raymond Affram scoring nine points with Mohammed Braimah adding a jump shot.
Swanlakers came back strongly to trail by eight (10-18) with 2:03 remaining in the first quarter. Galaxy settled after a wayward mid quarter period to lead 24-12 at the end of the first quarter.
43-27 first half win for Galaxy.
Swanlakers went on an 8-0 run midway in the third quarter but got knocked back with a strong run from Galaxy. Guard Aminu Mohammed scored a beautiful layup after going coast to coast. Galaxy led 63-43 at the end of the third quarter.
Swanlakers abandoned the game with 3:57 to play in the fourth quarter with Galaxy leading 91-58.
