The Robert Mensah Stadium in Ghana’s Central Regional capital, Cape-Coast, will host this year’s basketball qualifiers for the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.

The next edition of Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball competition comes in January, 2019 at the El Wak Stadium in the West Africa nation’s capital, Accra.

Competition in Cape-Coast is set for Friday, November 29 at the recently built multi sport edifice which hosted last year’s regional games.

The Robert Mensah Stadium boasts two courts to accommodate the sizable number of zonal representatives in the region.

Central Region’s qualifiers are the most anticipated considering the immense amount of success its representatives have recorded in the competition.

Record winners in the Boy Division, Mfantsipim School, hail from the region and it is the same with the Girls Division as Wesley Girls High School leads the field.

The likes of St. Augustine’s College and Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion High School are former winners of the prestigious competition with both schools winning the trophy in 2016.
