The final round of basketball qualifiers in the Central Region will be played on Thursday, November 29 according to reports reaching Basketballghnaa.com

The qualifiers to determine schools to represent the region at the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship will be played at the Robert Mensah Stadium in the region’s capital, Cape-Coast.

This comes in the wake of the Ashanti Regional qualifiers which had a chunk of the old block turning out at the top of the pile.

Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College will represent the region in the boys division while national champions Kumasi Girls High School and St. Louis Senior High School are the Girls Division representatives.

The Central Region is the most successful region in Ghana’s biggest High School basketball tournament producing a host of winning teams.

The most successful team in competition history in the boys and girls divisions respectively, Mfantsipim School and Wesley Girls High School are in the region.

The Region also boasts former winners St. Augustine’s College and Aggrey Memorial Zion A.M.E. Senior High School.
